Half-Naked Man Mysteriously Dies In Wyandanch: Police
A man died in Wyandanch on Thursday after police found him half-naked and acting belligerent, Suffolk County police say.
WYANDANCH, NY — A man died in Wyandanch on Thursday after police found him half-naked and acting belligerent, Suffolk County police announced.
Shortly after 10 a.m., police received a 911 call reporting that the man, who was possibly intoxicated, was lying on the ground on Merritt Avenue, police said.
Upon arrival, police found the man naked from his waist down banging on a business window while acting irrational and agitated.

Officers subdued and handcuffed the man, who then became unresponsive and officers, police said. Rescue personnel then performed CPR on him.
The man was then transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip where he was
pronounced dead, police said.

His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The New York State Attorney General’s Office was notified and responded to the scene. Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives and the Internal Affairs Bureau are investigating.
