Via Google Meet, Dr. Omeis took part in an interactive read aloud with the class, sharing with them the silly antics of her sheep-a-doodle Henry. Additionally, she encouraged the students to write stories about their pets and the things they love in their lives. “ You can all be authors too,” said Dr. Omeis who encouraged the students to share their stories with her.

Dr. Omeis has dedicated a copy of the book to each Lindenhurst elementary school library and hopes that sharing the book will not only bring a smile to students’ faces but will encourage them to write about their own experiences as well.
