Heroin, Handgun, $10K In Cash Found In Amityville Home: Police

The two residents of the home were arrested after officers executed a search warrant on Wednesday.

AMITYVILLE, NY - A man and woman were arrested after officers found heroin, fentanyl, over $10,000 in cash and a gun at their Amityville home on Wednesday, according to Amityville Police.

Police executed a search warrant at the Lake Drive home at 6:40 a.m.

During the raid, cops found 40 grams of heroin/fentanyl, a Smith & Wesson pistol, marijuana and a total of $10,937 in cash, police said.

The two residents of the home, Leonard Blanc, 26, and Jacqueline Reyes, 30, were both arrested, police said.

Blanc was charged with second degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of second degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.

Reyes was charged with two counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, two counts of second degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of marijuana and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

Both were arraigned on Thursday. Blanc was held on a $30,000 bond or $15,000 cash and Reyes was held on a $20,000 bond or $10,000 cash.
