Hundreds Attend Town Of Babylon Italian Food Festival
The annual event featured local food vendors, live entertainment, family activities and a food drive for local families in need.
LINDENHURST, NY — Hundreds of residents and visitors gathered at Babylon Town Hall on May 16 for the annual Town of Babylon Italian Food Festival, a celebration of Italian culture, food, music and community.
The festival, held on the Great Lawn at Town Hall, featured local food vendors serving pizza, zeppoles, bomboloni, sausage and braciole, meatballs, Italian ice and other favorites.
Guests also enjoyed live performances by Angelo Venuto, Maria Venuto, Carmelo Raccuglia and DJ Domenick. The event also included a Kids Zone and classic car displays.

The festival was hosted by Councilman Anthony Manetta and Town Clerk Gerry Compitello in partnership with the Constantino Brumidi Lodge of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America.
Attendees were also encouraged to bring pasta and sauce donations for Manetta’s 8th Annual Pasta & Sauce Food Drive, which benefits local families in need.

“This event is a wonderful way to celebrate our Italian heritage while bringing the community together for a great cause,” Manetta said. “It was incredible to see so many families enjoying the food, music and entertainment, while also helping support neighbors in need through our annual food drive. I’m grateful to everyone who attended, donated and helped make the day such a success.”
