King, Grechen Shirley Release Statements Following Tight Race

LONG ISLAND, NY - Both congressional candidates Liuba Grechen Shirley and Peter King released statements on Facebook following the results of the race on Election night.
Grechen Shirley (D) ran against incumbent King (R) for the seat in New York's second congressional district.
On Tuesday night, King was elected to his 14th term in Congress.

It was a close race throughout the night. Grechen Shirley was in the lead at one point but in the end she received a total of 106,996 while King received 122,103 votes.
