LI Church To Host Gala To Support Ukrainian Children
All proceeds will go towards children affected by the war in Ukraine.

LINDENHURST, NY — A Lindenhurst community is continuing to support those affected by the war in Ukraine.
Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church and Chateau La Mer will host a charity gala event to benefit of Voices of Children, a non-profit organization which helps Ukrainian children overcome the traumas of war.
The event will take place on Sunday, May 1 at the restaurant, located at 845 S. Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets are $150 each and patrons are encouraged to reserve their spots ahead of time. Participants can also expect a buffet dinner, and wine and beer are included.
The gala will also hold a silent auction, featuring items such as authentic Ukrainian embroidery, traditional beaded necklaces and artwork.

Live music will be provided by Ukrainian folk band, Korinya.
According to Voices of Children, 148 children have died, 232 children have been injured, since Russian invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24.
