Lindenhurst Athletes, Coaches Honored at Banquet

Every year the varsity athletes and coaches of Lindenhurst High School are honored during the Athletic Awards Banquet at the Melville Mariott.

This year the banquet was held on June 11 and showcased a tremendous pool of talented athletes and the coaches who guide them. Coordinated by the Varsity Club, Janine Cheskay and Michael Cheskay and the district’s athletic department, the evening recognizes their effort, dedication and achievements.

The banquet began with the grand procession of the Most Valuable Players for each team. Outstanding athletes were chosen for the Lindenhurst Hall of Fame and the Gold Key awards. Individual scholarships and recognition were presented to players throughout the evening.

Athletes of the Year – Ashley Claud and Marquise Williams

Joseph Pritchard – Spirit of Lindenhurst – Leanna Snyder and Sean Varela

Coach of the Year – Charles Brostowski and Nick Lombardo

Assistant Coach of the Year – Thomas Cornelia and Damon Sinicropi

Superintendent’s Bulldog Award – Richard Rogers

Dellecave Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame Member – Ashley Claud and Marquise Williams
