Lindenhurst Business Announces Closure After 35 Years

LINDENHURST, NY - After 35 years, a Lindenhurst business announced it will be closing down.

Renate's Wedding Boutique, located on 141 S Wellwood Avenue, made the announcement on its Facebook page on Wednesday.

The business assures customers that all orders will be delivered and that provisions have been made to have dresses altered at a separate location.

Customers will be given that information upon pick-up.

"I want to thank all our customers over the past 35 years for entrusting us on your most special day," the post reads. "It has been a memorable journey and a pleasure to serve you and the community."

An exact reason for the closure was not disclosed but the owner wrote in the post that it was an "emotionally difficult decision to make."

"Circumstances beyond my control prevailed," she wrote.
