Lindenhurst Middle School students were honored for their commitment to service during the Breakfast for Champions celebration at Lindencrest Diner on June 10.
Coordinated by middle school educator Courtney Whalley, the breakfast, now in its 16th year, honors middle school students who exemplify “Lindy pride.” Students are nominated by teachers for a variety of reasons and are recognized publicly in front of parents, teachers and peers.
Daniel Giordano, who will assume the role of superintendent of schools on July 1, was also in attendance.
