Lindenhurst Director Named Certified Athletic Administrator

LINDENHURST, NY - The Lindenhurst school district recently announced that the director of health, physical education and athletics was recently recognized by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA).

As part of the honor, Anthony Amesti was named a certified athletic administrator. The NIAAA is a national professional organization consisting of all 50 state athletic administrator associations and more than 12,000 individual members.

To earn this distinction, Amesti had to demonstrate the highest level of knowledge and expertise in the field of interscholastic athletic administration. The voluntary certification process included a thorough evaluation of the candidate's educational background, experience and professional contributions, as well as a rigorous, comprehensive written examination.

Amesti is now among an elite group of interscholastic athletic administrators nationwide who have obtained this level of professionalism.
