Lindenhurst Graduate Wins Scholarship For Academics, Leadership

LINDENHURST, NY — Lindenhurst-based Visual Citi has awarded its third annual scholarship to Lindenhurst High School graduate Victoria Ogilvie in recognition of her academic excellence, community service and leadership.

Ogilvie completed Advanced Placement courses while participating in school athletics, student government, extracurricular activities, community service projects and leadership conferences, according to the company.

She plans to study communication design, with interests in marketing and business.

“Victoria’s success comes from inside and outside the classroom, in earning great grades, showing leadership, giving back to others and making the most of every opportunity,” Visual Citi Vice President of Operations Azim Bootwala said. “We’re proud to support Victoria as she takes the next step toward her future.”

Visual Citi is a full-service signage, printing and fabrication company headquartered in Lindenhurst. The company operates from 100,000 square feet of production space, employs more than 100 people and is certified as a Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise.

The scholarship program is part of Visual Citi’s community initiative supporting the education and development of local students.
