Lindenhurst High Advanced Placement Scholars Honored

Students recognized for exceptional achievement on AP exams.

Several students from Lindenhurst High School have earned Advanced Placement (AP) Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP exams.

The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on students’ performance on these exams.

The following students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP exams with scores of 3 or higher: Leyna Brostowski, Vanessa Cardino, Diana Chetnik, Thomas Cunningham, Daniel Cwalisnki, Samantha Donovan, Nicholas Drenkalo, Thomas Jansson, Puneet Kapoor, Kyle Mesa, Megan O’Brien, Ozgur Oztemiz, Shivam Patel, Tierney Ruppel, Jessica Shreck and Sylvia Zielinski.

These students qualified for the Advanced Placement Scholar with Honors Award by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams: William Borkofsky, Kelly Buynak, Davian David-Ramphal, Andrew Grais, Tyler Hughes, Alanna McNally and Marisa Mercadante.

Qualifying for the Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction Award for earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams were: Jessica Barzykowski, Phillip Kallinos, Brett Keeler, Kyle Keeler and Brendan Murphy.

“These students truly exemplify the school motto of leadership, honor and scholarship,” AP Coordinator and Lindenhurst High School Guidance Counselor Leslie Levy said. “We are very proud of them.”
