Lindenhurst High School Assistant Principals Appointed
Three new APs appointed in the district.

The start of the 2014-15 is not only a new beginning for the students of Lindenhurst High School, but it’s also a new beginning for some of the administrators. This year, the Lindenhurst Union Free School District welcomes new assistant principals Matthew Boccanfuso, Bret Kearney and Nancy Scaccia.
Boccanfuso has been a member of the Lindenhurst family as an educator and coach since 2001. He holds professional certifications in School Building and School District Leadership from the College of St. Rose as well as a Master of Arts degree from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Dowling College.
Kearney has also spent the tenure of his teaching career in the Lindenhurst Union Free School District as an educator, advisor and coach. Similarly, he holds his leadership certifications from the College of St. Rose and a Master of Arts degree from Stony Brook University. His undergraduate degree was obtained at Nazareth College of Rochester.

Nancy Scaccia will serve as the assistant principal of the newly formed Lindenhurst Academy housed at the McKenna Administration Building. Scaccia comes to the district from Bayside High School where she held the positions of general and special education teacher and mathematics department coordinator. She too received her Advanced Study certificates in building and district leadership from the College of St. Rose as well as a Master of Arts Degree in Special Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and secondary education from Queens College.
