Upon reading her book “Surviving the Angel of Death,” the Advanced and Intermediate ESL classes at Lindenhurst High School had the opportunity to Skype with Holocaust survivor Eva Kor.
During her time at the Auschwitz concentration camp, Ms. Kor had many medical experiments conducted on her and her twin sister by Dr. Josef Mengele during World War II. Ms. Kor presented the story of her life story to the class and explained how through her brave efforts she survived the Holocaust. She then allowed students to ask her questions about the experience.
She now lives in Indiana and has opened the CANDLES Museum. She travels the world presenting her story and teaching others how to forgive. The students were able to ask her questions for 30 minutes.
