Lindenhurst House Fire Proves Fatal
A couple escaped the flames but their adult son did not, police said.
LINDENHURST, NY — A man died early Sunday in a house fire in Lindenhurst.
The fire, at 596 North Kings Ave., was reported just after 3 a.m., according to Suffolk County police.
Two people, a man and a woman, had escaped the home when police arrived at 3:10 a.m. Their son, Gioacchino Pagano, 28, was found dead in his bedroom after the fire was brought under control.

The preliminary investigation suggests the fire was not criminal in nature, police said.
