Lindenhurst Man Dies After Falling In Canal: Police

LINDENHURST, NY — A Lindenhurst man is dead after falling into a canal Friday night, according to authorities.

Suffolk County homicide detectives are investigating the incident, which happened around 9:40 p.m. behind 990 Pacific St. in Lindenhurst, according to police.

Don Seddio, 65, was pulled from the canal and taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip where he was pronounced dead, police said. Authorities said Seddio may have suffered "a medical event" prior to his death.
