Lindenhurst Middle School Students Pay It Forward
The students recently participated in the annual holiday stocking-stuffing event.
LINDENHURST, NY - From Lindenhurst Union Free School District: The Lindenhurst Middle School Student Council recently participated in an annual holiday stocking-stuffing event for the Pay It Forward With Jackie organization. Jackie was diagnosed with cancer on Christmas Eve at age 3 in 2006. After battling cancer twice in her young life, Jackie started the nonprofit organization to get stockings to children staying in local hospitals during the holiday as well as children in need.
Student council members collected donations of coloring books, puzzles, crayons and games as well as additional items such as Play-Doh, playing cards and crafts. Those items were then used to stuff approximately 100 stockings that will in turn be given to a child in hopes of bringing them holiday joy.
