Lindenhurst School Budget Vote, Trustee Election Results Are In

Lindenhurst residents easily approved a 2016-17 school budget on Tuesday.

The $151.5 million budget was approved by a margin of 1,271-483. The budget is a 2.05 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 1.02 percent hike in the school tax levy.

Voters also returned Linda Aniello, Edward Langone and Robert Vitiello to the Lindenhurst Board of Education. The incumbents all ran unopposed for new three-year terms.
