Lindenhurst Students Become Junior Mayors

Winners of Annual Loving Lindenhurst Contest to Take Part in Various Village Affairs

The Lindenhurst Union Free School District is proud to announce that 28 students have been named winners the annual Loving Lindenhurst contest. As part of winning this long-running competition, the students were sworn in as Junior Mayors at the latest Village of Lindenhurst meeting, and will be attending various village events as dignitaries.

The students were tasked with creating a piece of artwork or writing an essay showing off their love of Lindenhurst. Then, a committee of staff members from each building selected five submissions to send to the Village Board of Trustees for final judging. The winners will take part in various village events, including the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 23. The winners are:
