Lindenhurst Tree Lighting, Holiday Parade, Santa In Park Sunday

If Christmas is your thing, this could very well be the best weekend of the year in Lindenhurst.

Santa is coming to town.

There are a bunch of holiday happenings around Lindenhurst this Sunday. Here's the rundown:

  • The Little Flower Shop Open House With Santa – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Free pictures with Santa, snacks and a beautiful showroom decorated for the holidays. Use promo code "Santa" for 10 percent off any in-store purchase during the open house at the shop located at 437 N. Wellwood Ave.
  • Santa In The Park – 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. – at Lindenhurst Village Square Park, located at the corner of East Hoffman and Wellwood
  • Lindenhurst Fire Department Christmas Parade – approx. 4 p.m. – starts at Firemans Park and ends at the Village tree (check out video of the 2012 parade below)

Bring your camera and take a picture with Santa from 1-3. Skating party around the tree from 2:30-4.Wreath Contest Awards from 1-2. Historical Society Meeting at the Firehouse from 2-3. The day will commence with the Historical Society tree lighting at 4 pm. Free hot chocolate, cookies, and gift bags provided by the Lindenhurst Chamber & Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffery.

The Lindenhurst Fire Department will hold a raffle for a 6-foot Christmas stocking filled with toys & goodies to be delivered on Christmas Eve by Santa himself!! All proceeds will benefit the Suffolk County Burn Center.
