Lindenhurst Woman Robbed in Her Own Backyard

The robbery occurred early Saturday morning, police say.

A Lindenhurst woman was robbed in her own backyard early Saturday morning, police said.

The woman was in the yard of her home on South 4th Street, between 2nd and 3rd avenues, when she was approached by a man who threatened her with what she described as a shiny object and demanded her jewelry around 1:11 a.m., police said.

The woman gave the man jewelry and he fled. The robber was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap, police said.
