Lindenhurst Woman Struck Dead By Hit-And-Run Driver
BREAKING: Tragedy has struck again for the Aluska family.
LINDENHURST, NY – A Lindenhurst woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver early Monday, Suffolk Police said.
First Precinct police officers responded to Montauk Highway and South 13th Street after a 911 caller reported a body in the roadway at about 12:20 a.m. Upon further investigation, it was determined that 54-year-old Pauline Aluska was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Aluska was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where she was pronounced dead.

The investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone with information about to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
Aluska was the sister-in-law of Diane Aluska, the Lindenhurst mother who died after being struck by a car on Wellwood Avenue in May. Diane Aluska was credited with saving her daughter's life when a Toyota Corolla drove onto the sidewalk near the Lindenhurst Fire Department.
