Lindy Community Enjoys an Evening of Dance
11th annual "Evening of Dance" held at Lindenhurst High.
Lindenhurst residents recently enjoyed the 11th annual “Evening of Dance” performances held at Lindenhurst High School.
The evening was filled with beautiful music, dancers and costumes. The high school dance program is one of the few on Long Island taught by an accredited dance teacher Kristine Lyons and attracts serious dance students.
Donning colorful costumes, students demonstrated dance genres including ballet, modern, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop and more. The dancers worked hard to present a show that was a varied representation of dancing styles. With more than 30 performances, they did just that.

“Each year I am blessed to work with such talented students who bring beauty, grace and talent to school with them in a daily basis,” said Ms. Lyons, who also serves as the director of choreography.
