Man Charged With Leaving Scene of a Crash: PD
The man's went off the roadway, into a gas station parking lot, through a fence and into a parked car, police say.
NORTH LINDENHURST, NY — A man was arrested and charged Sunday night after leaving the scene of a crash in North Lindenhurst, Suffolk County Police said.
Ronnell Thomas, 40, of Central Islip, was charged with leaving the scene of an incident with property damage, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and third-degree criminal trespass, police said.
Thomas was driving a 2015 BMW sedan eastbound on Route 27 at 11:30 p.m. when the vehicle crossed over the westbound lanes, then veered off the roadway, into the parking lot of a gas station, through a fence and into a parked 2008 Lincoln sedan in the driveway of a 45th Street residence, police said.

Thomas fled the scene on foot and was apprehended and arrested a short time later, police said.
No one was no injured, and Thomas will be arraigned at a later date, police said.
