Man Critically Injured In North Amityville Shooting

The 31-year-old was a passenger in a car that was shot Sunday night, police say.

NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY — A 31-year-old man was critically injured during a shooting in North Amityville Sunday night, according to Suffolk police.

The North Amityville man was a front-seat passenger in a car that was shot at on Washington Avenue at 10:25 p.m. The man was hit by multiple bullets.

The driver, who turned onto Washington Avenue from Garfield Street, was not injured. The driver transported the injured passenger to the North Amityville Fire Department and a fire department ambulance then transported him to a local hospital.
