Man Dead, Woman Hospitalized, After Possible CO Poisoning: PD
A 79-year-old man was found dead after a possible carbon monoxide poisoning in a Copiague home, police say.
COPIAGUE, NY — A man is dead and a woman is hospitalized after a possible carbon monoxide poisoning at a Copiague home, Suffolk County Police said.
According to police, officers found a 79-year-old man dead in his home at about 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Another resident, a 49-year-old woman, was taken to a nearby hospital and is in serious but stable condition, police said.
Detectives are investigating the carbon monoxide levels within the residence. The nature of the incident appears to be non-criminal, police said.
