LINDENHURST, NY – Police are searching for a man who tried to rob a Lindenhurst Carvel Sunday night.
According to police, the man entered the ice cream shop located 280 N. Wellwood Ave. at about 10:25 p.m., displayed a handgun and a note demanding cash from the clerk.
The man fled without any proceeds, police said. No one was injured and no arrests have been made. Police did not release a description of the man.
