Man Had Over 6 Million Images, Videos Of Child Porn: DA
The bust was the largest cache of child pornography ever recovered in Suffolk County history, the DA says.

AMITYVILLE, NY - An Amityville man was arrested on over 200 charges after police discovered the largest cache of child pornography in Suffolk County history, District Attorney Timothy Sini said at a press conference on Friday.
David Johnson, 58, was charged after police discovered over 6 million images and videos of child pornography in his home, which was right by a local elementary school, Sini said.
In April, Amityville Police obtained an MP3 player containing some of the images and videos from a concerned citizen.

Amityville Police then contacted Suffolk Police and together conducted an investigation along with the DA leading to Johnson's arrest after discovering a large collection organized by age, race, and particular characteristics, Sini said.
Police also found over 24 storage devices for the pornography including laptops, hard drives, usb storage and memory cards, Sini said.

Johnson was eventually arrested on May 14.
He was arraigned on Friday morning in Riverhead where he was charged with over 200 counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child. His bail was set at 75,000 cash or 150,000 bond.
If convicted he faces up to 20 years in prison. He would also be required to register as a sex offender.
“The District Attorney’s Office and our partners in law enforcement have no tolerance for anyone who commits sex crimes against children,” Sini said. “Make no mistake about it: The possession and viewing of child pornography is a sex crime against children.”
He is due back in court on June 18.
