Man Left Dog Locked In Room With No Food, Water For 4 Days: SPCA
The 22-year-old left his 2-year-old pit bull locked in a bedroom for days, the SPCA said. But the dog eventually got a happy ending.

AMITYVILLE, NY — An Amityville man was charged with animal cruelty to leaving his 2-year-old dog locked in a bedroom for several days with no care, according to the Suffolk County SPCA. Detective responded to a complaint that Princess, a female pit bull, had been left unattended in the locked room for up to four days with no care, food or water, the SPCA said. While Princess was allegedly locked in the room, she could be heard whining and crying out, the SPCA said.

After receiving the complaint, detectives arrested the dog's owner, 22-year-old Savion Redhead for failure to provide proper sustenance, the SPCA said. The return date to First District Court in Central Islip is March 2.
However it looks like Princess managed to find her "happily ever after." After SPCA detectives removed her from the environment, they took her to the Babylon Animal Shelter in Amityville where she was adopted into a new family.
