Man Strikes Utility Pole, Seriously Injured: PD
A man was seriously injured after his car struck a utility pole in North Lindenhurst, Suffolk County Police say.

NORTH LINDENHURST, NY — A man was seriously injured after his car struck a utility pole in North Lindenhurst on Wednesday night, Suffolk County Police said.
Joseph Pierce, 37, of Lindenhurst, was driving a 2017 Infinity QX7 southbound on Wellwood Avenue at 9:56 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle, police said. The Infinity QX7 crossed into the northbound lanes and then struck a utility pole on Wellwood Ave., police said.
Pierce was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries, police said.
