Massive House Fire Overnight In North Amityville
Footage from the scene showed plumes of smoke and fire emanating from the home, which appeared to have lost at least part of its roof.
NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY — Emergency personnel responded overnight to a house fire in North Amityville, according to police.
The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. Sunday on Bayview Avenue, Suffolk County police said. Photos and video of the scene showed massive plumes of smoke and fire emanating from the home, which appeared to have lost at least part of its roof in the blaze.
Arson detectives are investigating the cause, according to police.
