Motorcycle, Car Collide In West Babylon, Leaving 2 Injured: Police
A 25-year-old Deer Park man suffered serious injuries when a car turning left struck his motorcycle in West Babylon, police said.
WEST BABYLON, NY — A 25-year-old Deer Park man was seriously injured Monday afternoon when a car struck his motorcycle at a West Babylon intersection, Suffolk County police said.
Rosemay Clairant, 60, of North Amityville, was driving a 2011 Toyota northbound on Little East Neck Road when she attempted to turn left onto Platt Avenue and struck a southbound 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Stephen Downs, police said.
The crash occurred around 3:50 p.m. on Monday.

Downs was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Clairant was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police impounded both vehicles for safety checks.

Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 631-854-8152.
