Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing Into Pickup Truck: PD

LINDENHURST, NY — A 24-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck in Lindenhurst, Suffolk County Police said.

Matthew J. Grinvalsky, of Lindenhurst, was riding a 1985 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Long Island Avenue at 11:04 a.m. on Monday, when he collided with a 2006 Ford pickup truck, police said. The driver of the pickup truck was attempting to make a left turn from Lake Drive to westbound Long Island Avenue, police said.

Grinvalsky was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured, police said, and both vehicles were impounded for a safety check.
