5 Cars Ablaze In LI Car Dealership Parking Lot
Five cars were burned at Security Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM car dealership, located at 345 Merrick Road, officials say.

LINDENHURST, NY — Five vehicles at a car dealership in Amityville went up in flames Monday night, according to Amityville Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to reports of multiple cars on fire at 10:20 p.m. at the Security Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM car dealership, located at 345 Merrick Road, officials said.
No people were harmed in the fire, Amityville FD said.

The fire was placed under control within 20 minutes, Amityville FD said. Copiague Fire Department also assisted with the fire.
According to Amityville Police Department, arson is not suspected at this time.

UPDATE: A previous version of this story stated that at least three cars were burned, but according to the Amityville Police Department, a total of five vehicles were involved. Amityville Fire Department confirmed with Patch Wednesday that five cars were burned.
