LI Mini School Bus Crash Leaves 1 Woman Killed, 3 Injured: PD
A 21-year-old woman was killed and 3 people — including a child — were injured in a crash Thursday morning, police say.

NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY — A 21-year-old woman is dead, and three people are injured, after a car crashed into a mini school bus in North Amityville on Thursday morning, Suffolk County police said.
Nia Cooper, 21, of Amityville, was driving a 2006 Honda Civic northbound on Albany Avenue, south of Russell Court at about 8 a.m.
The Civic then crossed into the southbound land and struck a 2008 Chevrolet minibus, owned by Educational Bus transportation company.

Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The 29-year-old bus driver, an adult male matron and a 13-year-old girl on the bus were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

The second student on the bus, a 14-year-old boy, was not injured, police said.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
The accident is currently under investigation.
