Some special ballplayers from the Lindy American Little League Challenger Division take the field at Babylon Town Hall, with more fun on the way.
Once again it's that time of year to play ball across Lindenhurst!
And the Lindenhurst American is in full swing, including the . Challenger baseball features players with physical and/or mental disabilities. Here it's all about playing the game and having a good time, and not who wins or loses.
"They play to the best of their ability, not to their disability," said Challenger Director Anthony Chironno.

The season is well underway, and there's more fun to come. The Lindy Challenger All-Star is taking place on Saturday, , at Town Hall, where players get to show off the skills they've learned on the diamond this year.
Lindy American will also participate in the Nassau County Challenger Tournament on , at the Little League .

In addition, that same day the will sponsor a back at Town Hall on the same , with proceeds going to the Long Island Tourette Syndrome Association.
In the meantime, the Challenger Division continued its league play on Friday night, May 18, at the field at Town Hall in Lindenhurst when it hosted Massapequa baseball action.
