Poker Night For A Cause: Copiague Firefighters Host Fundraiser Tournament

Residents are invited to a night of poker and community support at the Copiague Fire Department's April fundraiser.

COPIAGUE, NY — Residents looking for a night out with a cause can head to the Copiague Fire Department later this month, where firefighters are hosting a Texas Hold’em tournament to raise funds for ongoing community services.

The fundraiser, organized by Vigilant Engine Company, will take place Saturday, April 25, at the department’s headquarters, located at Copiague Fire Department Headquarters.

Doors open at 5 p.m., with the tournament set to begin at 7 p.m.

The $160 buy-in includes 6,000 chips, along with food and unlimited beer, wine, and soda. Players who register and pay by April 20 will receive an early registration bonus of 1,500 additional chips.

Organizers say the event will feature professional dealers and tournament-style tables, with prizes awarded to top finishers. A mobile cigar lounge will also be on site.

The tournament is open to the public, and all proceeds will go toward supporting the fire department’s operations and its role in serving the local community.
