Police: Three Arrested in N. Lindenhurst Home Burglary Spree

Trio were involved in numerous burglaries over the past two months, police say.

Three North Lindenhurst residents were arrested on Monday and charged in a series of residential burglaries in their hometown over the past two months, police said.

According to police, First Squad detectives, along with First Precinct Crime Control officers, were conducting a surveillance operation in North Lindenhurst on Monday in an attempt to identify and locate the individuals who were responsible for several recent daytime burglaries.

Officers arrested three people after they were observed attempting to enter a residence on Farmers Avenue in North Lindenhurst shortly before 3 p.m., police said.

David Vanbourgondien, 30, is charged with 11 counts of second degree burglary and two counts of second degree attempted burglary.

Daniel Tarantino, 30, is charged with second degree burglary, second degree attempted burglary and fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Gina Giardinello, 26, is charged with two counts of second degree attempted burglary.

Vanbourgondien and Tarantino were held overnight at the First Precinct and Giardinello was held at the Fourth Precinct. All three are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.

The investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone with information about these crimes to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
