The Lindenhurst School District congratulates those students who received special certificates at the annual Special Education PTA awards night held Monday, April 28 in the Lindenhurst High School auditorium.
Barbara Brown, assistant to the superintendent for special education and pupil personnel services, welcomed administrators, board members, staff and parents. “We are all so very proud of you and the hard work you’ve done to earn this recognition,” she said in congratulating the students. “Please always remember how wonderful you are.”
Students from all schools throughout the district were presented with certificates in recognition of their achievements. Following the ceremony, they and their families were invited to an ice cream social in the cafeteria, where they enjoyed flying saucers from Rosie’s Ice Cream Shop in Lindenhurst. Rosie’s will be participating in a SEPTA fundraiser on May 16-18 and will donate a portion of all sales to the Lindenhurst SEPTA.
