Students, Parents, Staff Meet New Lindenhurst HS Principal

LINDENHURST, NY - Students, parents and staff of Lindenhurst High School got the chance to meet the newly appointed principal Dr. Candice Brodie during two events on July 24 and on Aug. 6.

During the brief gatherings at the school's library, which included light refreshments, Brodie met and spoke with each attendee before addressing the group and sharing her vision for the year.

"The theme for this year is for students to discover their 'personal legend' and strive to fulfill it," Brodie said. "As they are successful in fulfilling their 'personal legends,' they will discover their next personal legend and continuously become better versions of themselves. In order to achieve this, I wish to encourage our students to get involved in the school community and make school part of their lives. My goal is for all of our students to leave us prepared with the skills to be successful in whatever they choose to do — whether college or a career. As they enter their post-high school life, they will need to be good communicators, problem solvers, and have the ability to collaborate with others."
