Students Star at Battle of the Books

Lindenhurst elementary school students compete in annual "Battle of the Books" competition.

Fifth-graders from Albany and Harding Avenue elementary schools came together to compete in the annual “Battle of the Books” competition.

The event is a quiz show-style competition in which students were asked questions about the plot, theme, characters and authors of approximately 15-20 previously selected books.

The students were divided into teams of four students. Each team selected a theme-name such as The Book Ninjas, Revolutionary Readers and Brilliant Bulldogs. Each member of the winning team, the Book Ninjas, received a trophy.
