BRENTWOOD, NY —A Brentwood teenager was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Wyandanch on Sunday, Suffolk County police said.
A 2013 Toyota Camry and a 2014 Kia Optima were involved in a crash with no injuries at the corner of Patton Avenue and Wellwood Avenue in Wyandanch shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, police said.
After the crash, the people involved got out of the vehicles to assess the damage and during that time, a 2010 Nissan Rogue traveling westbound on Patton Avenue struck the rear of the stopped Kia and pushed it into the Camry, pinning Meyli Henriquez, 20, of Central Islip, between the two vehicles around 1:35 a.m., police said.
