LINDENHURST, NY - A local family is looking for the thief or thieves who stole a pumpkin special to a 6-year-old boy from him front of a Lindenhurst home last week.
In a Facebook post, Ann Marie Beckman-Pesa said that the pumpkin that her father grew for her young nephew, Kevin before he passed away was stolen from the home on North Lewis by the entrance to Lindenhurst High School.

"My dad passed away before he got to pick the pumpkin and give it to Kevin," Beckman-Pesa wrote. "Kevin loved that pumpkin. Pop grew it for him."
Beckman-Pesa is guessing some kids stole it from the home on Friday night, but there is no actual description of the thief or thieves.
The family is offering a $500 reward for whoever returns Kevin’s pumpkin or the name of the person who took it.
"If you know who stole it or where it is please let us know," the Facebook post reads. "It was Pop’s last gift to Kevin."
