Toddler Injured In Crash, Dad Charged With Drunk Driving: Police

LINDENHURST, NY — A Lindenhurst man is facing charges after police said he drove his car while intoxicated and crashed it with his 2-year-old son inside.
Adam Mularczuk, 46, was arrested on multiple charges following the Friday night crash, including driving while intoxicated with a child passenger and child endangerment, Suffolk County police said in a news release.
According to police, Mularczuk was driving a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with his son inside the car around 8:40 p.m. when he crashed it into an unoccupied Chevy Traverse parked in front of 591 Grand Ave.

When officers arrived, police said Mularczuk exhibited signs of intoxication. A family member came and accompanied the child to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, where the boy was treated for minor injuries and released.
Mularczuk's initial court appearance was scheduled for Saturday.
