UPDATE: Police ID Woman Killed in North Lindenhurst Crash
The accident occurred Thursday morning.

Police have identified the woman who was killed in a two-vehicle crash in North Lindenhurst Thursday morning as 23-year-old AlyssaMarie Gerbasio, of West Babylon.
According to police, a 17-year-old Lindenhurst female was driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty east on 49th Street and attempting to cross Straight Path when her vehicle collided with a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling northbound on Straight Path at 7:12 a.m.
Gerbasio, the driver of the Grand Cherokee, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The driver of the Liberty, who police did not name, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for evaluation and released.
Gerbasio worked as a sales associate at Atlantic Nissan in West Islip, according to her Facebook profile.
