Police Called To Disabled Boat Off Island Park, Police Say

ISLAND PARK, NY — Maritime units scrambled to the water off Island Park Friday evening after a 30-foot boat lost power, authorities said.

Nassau County police said the boat lost power at 7:15 p.m. Friday, with Marine 6 units contacting the disabled vessel and locating it. Upon reaching the disabled vessel, police said four people were taken off the boat and taken back to shore, with no injuries reported.
