OCEANSIDE, NY — An investigation into the person who made a bomb threat at Oceanside High School Tuesday is ongoing after that bomb threat was deemed non-credible, police said Wednesday morning.
Nassau County police said the bomb threat was called in at 1:56 p.m. with the school being evacuated after the threat. With the building evacuated, police began an investigation to assess the legitimacy of the threat.
“As we did our search, the search yielded no results,” a department spokesperson said Wednesday.
The search wrapped up between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m., police said. In the aftermath of the investigation at the high school, police said the department is still investigating to find the individual who called in the threat. A department spokesperson said they could not comment on what charges that individual may face.
The Oceanside School District did not immediately respond to requests for comment on this story.
