We walk the beach and boards, see the sea, see the people, the shorebirds, the scudding clouds.
We chat with family, friends and sometimes strangers. It all seems so usual, common, plain. But if we can pause and take it all in, feel it, it lives on.
Over fifty years ago, I decided to start writing about how I felt about each moment that affected me. By doing so, I acknowledged the moment.
Sometimes it was a death, sometimes a birth, sometimes a simple moment like "just" seeing my daughter board a kindergarten school bus.
When I really paid attention and let the moment immerse itself in me, it stayed with me.
Recently I opened my journals that started in 1974.
In doing so, I felt the love I experienced in that moment once again.
