See inch counts (northjersey.com) — Rain from the recent nor'easter was especially heavy around Long Beach, where an area nearby picked up just over 3 inches, among the higher Nassau County totals. The National Weather Service reports more than 5 inches in Upton and several inches across New York City, underscoring how widespread and intense this storm was for the region.
   

• New York Giants and Ticketmaster Celebrate New York State's High School Football Officiating Crew of the Month (highschoolfootballamerica.com) — A Long Beach parks and recreation official, Matt Kohut, is among a Nassau County crew honored by the New York Giants and Ticketmaster as September's High School Football Officiating Crew of the Month.
