The piece traces his journey from Long Island punk bands and founding Def Jam to shaping landmark albums for Johnny Cash, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jay-Z and many more.
   

4. One New York city ranks among America's top 5 best small cities (ithacajournal.com) — Long Beach earns an 89th-percentile ranking among more than 1,300 small U.S. cities in a new WalletHub livability study, putting it well above many New York peers. The report highlights how factors like affordability, economic health, education, quality of life and safety shape each city's score, with Saratoga Springs cracking the nation's overall top five.
